AI Readiness Assessment for Law Firms
Before investing in an AI tool, a law firm should know what it intends to use it for. In the AI readiness assessment we look at your processes — per practice group and per lawyer — and identify the tasks where artificial intelligence is likely to save time, as well as those where it brings nothing or is a risk.
What sets us apart
- 1Task first, then the toolWe start with your work, not with a product. Only once it is clear which tasks are candidates is it worth looking at tools.
- 2Per practice group, not across the boardA litigation team needs something different from a transactional practice or a patent department. That is why we look at each area separately.
- 3We also say where AI brings nothingIn our experience, software projects in law firms often fail because of wrong expectations. An honest list of limits is therefore part of the result.
Our services in the AI readiness assessment
Review of processes
Where does effort arise today?- We talk to the practice groups and legal assistants about which recurring work takes time.
- This includes drafts, summaries, comparison tables, research and the first review of documents.
- We also record which software applications and document management systems are currently in use.
Assessment of use cases
Benefit, risk, effort- Each task is rated by benefit, risk and roll-out effort.
- From an organisational perspective we pay particular attention to confidentiality, quality control and the question of who checks an AI result.
- This shows you where it is worth starting and where it is not.
Prioritised list and roadmap
Where to start- The result is a prioritised list of tasks where AI is likely to save time, with an order in which to proceed.
- The next steps follow from it: tool selection, AI policy and training.
- You receive the result in writing and discuss it with us.
Frequently asked questions about the AI readiness assessment
Which law firms is the assessment suitable for?
For firms of any size that want to introduce AI or already use individual tools and want to know where broader use pays off.
Do we need an AI tool already?
No. The assessment deliberately comes before tool selection. If you already use a tool, we include it.
Do you look at client documents?
No. We talk about processes and types of tasks, not about individual matters.
What does the assessment cost?
That depends on the number of practice groups. After a free initial meeting you will receive an individual offer.
