Legal 500 EMEA 2027: Deadline 3 August – and Email Submissions Will Be Deleted
A new submissions portal, two deadlines and a procedural change that can cost firms their place
Legal 500 has opened the submission phase for the EMEA 2027 edition. For Europe, the Middle East and Africa, both the client referee deadline and the editorial submission deadline fall on 3 August 2026.
There is one exception for the Nordics – Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden: there the editorial submission deadline runs until 28 August 2026. The referee deadline is unaffected.
The key change: no more submissions by email
Legal 500 states plainly that submissions and referee spreadsheets sent by email will not be accepted: they are deleted and will not be actioned. All firms must use the new submissions portal. Anyone emailing a file to the editorial team as in previous years has, in effect, not submitted at all – and will not necessarily be told so.
Test your access early
The new portal uses a magic link login: enter your email address, then click the link you receive. Existing users with email access are enabled automatically. Anyone who previously logged in with a username must register again – as must all new users. Once verified, the account is assigned to the firm.
Submissions are made via “+ Add Submission”: choose publication, then region, then practice area. Submissions and referees can be uploaded in bulk or individually. Legal 500 expressly recommends checking portal access early – registering at the last minute is the classic way to miss a deadline.
