The Chambers Latin America 2028 deadline of Thursday 22 October 2026 closes 22 practice areas across eight jurisdictions at once – Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, International Counsel, Mexico and Peru. Chambers currently lists every one of them as “Accepting Submissions” with the status date 22 October 2026. This is one wave out of ten in the Latin America cycle; each wave has its own date, and a firm that misses it waits a full year.

How to reach the submission documents

Chambers publishes the submission kit for this cycle at a fixed address, and the practice area definitions alongside it. Both were reachable when we checked on 14 September 2026:

The rules Chambers attaches to this wave

Chambers writes researcher notes into individual entries, and they are not decoration – they set the limits your submission is measured against.

Twenty matters, twenty referees. The standing note across most of these entries reads: “Please include a maximum of 20 cases in the submission and 20 contacts on the client referee list.”

Two exceptions with thirty referees. For Guatemala Corporate/M&A and Mexico Corporate/M&A the note reads “20 cases in the submission and 30 contacts on the client referee list”.

Peru splits. For Peru Dispute Resolution: Litigation Chambers asks: “Please send separate submissions for Litigation and Arbitration.” One document covering both is not what the researcher expects.

The Dominican Republic excludes. For Dominican Republic Dispute Resolution: “Please do not include Labour, Environment or IP litigation in this section.”

International Counsel leaves Brazil out. For both International Counsel tables: “Brazil international counsel work should not be reported here. For any Brazil-related matters, please contact Mateus Monteiro, Head of Brazil Research.”
