ALB Asia 2026: Four Submissions Open – First Deadline Closes on 20 July
Thomson Reuters opens innovation and in-house rankings for Asia, India, Indonesia and Singapore
Asian Legal Business (ALB), Thomson Reuters’ legal industry title for Asia, is currently accepting submissions for four rankings. The first deadline is immediate: submissions for the ALB India Top In-House Teams 2026 close on 20 July 2026. The ranking assesses in-house teams in India for “exceptional impact, innovation, and strategic influence”; results appear in the November/December 2026 issue of ALB India.
Three further deadlines on 14 August
The ALB Asia Top Innovative Law Firms 2026 targets firms across Asia working in the legal transformation space, using new technologies and techniques to win clients and improve service delivery. One important filter: submissions from mainland China and from Australia and New Zealand will not be considered.
ALB Firms to Watch (Indonesia) 2026 is aimed specifically at boutique firms with a permanent seat in Indonesia and no more than ten partners. The ALB Singapore Top In-House Teams 2026 assesses in-house teams in Singapore for leadership, innovation and contribution to their organisations. Both results appear in ALB Asia in December 2026.
Awards dates to note
Several ALB awards events are scheduled in parallel: China Regional Law Awards East China on 27 August, ALB Hong Kong Law Awards on 11 September, ALB Philippine Law Awards on 24 September, ALB Pan Asian Regulatory Awards on 30 September and ALB Middle East Law Awards on 5 November 2026. No submission deadlines for these were stated in the announcement.
For European firms with an Asia desk, the innovation and in-house categories are the most accessible: they reward demonstrable process and technology work, and are therefore open to firms that cannot compete with local market leaders on deal volume alone.
